center of this painting symbolizes  
the same girl sketched by PICASSO  
with a dove as the 'Sicilian Persephone'  
and a blind Minotaur (a symbol for the  
world half burtal).

DAVENPORT continues by saying this

"alienation from what was once most familiar"  
and deepens "our tragic sense of the world."
